No one knows who's my best match ...No, heck no. No one knows who's my best match but me and only me. I would choose to be --ah, what did they call it? I forgot, sorry!!-- a loner instead of having this "perfect" life and I agree with Nicole! Arranged marriages happen today and it's messed up. Everyone should have a fair shot in finding love but being Matched also has it's advantages. It's your MATCH, how would any deny that easy life? And that's exactly why I don't want to be. It's easy. Life is suppose to be long and complicated journey for everyone. Not easy. If statistically it should work and I cant choose myself, then I think it's better to be matched with some one than no one. Marriage and family are important to me, and in the setting of these books you are matched with someone you should, at least in theory, be compatible with. So I would take the chance it would work out and go for it! (And even in real life, where you pick your own spouse, marriage and parenting take work to be successful! :) These are really thought-provoking questionsSarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00213399642872078434noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9104446135837378337.post-15167479783219556132012-10-09T13:19:30.453-04:002012-10-09T13:19:30.453-04:00I would TOTALLY be Matched. I'm sold! What I DON'T like about being matched is that you have to follow their exact time table. I'm fine with someone finding me my perfect match (dating is HARD!) but I want to then move the relationship forward at my own pace.Enna Isileehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10778291891848771114noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9104446135837378337.post-34641830261985131282012-10-09T12:46:29.465-04:002012-10-09T12:46:29.465-04:00Hmmm... I don't think they loved each other with a reckless abandon, or anything like that, but they were happy. That was part of the matching process, which is great, because it really does make you think about how horrible it is, or isn't. I think generally speaking, the Society did a good job of Matching people (they picked Cassia and Xander, after all, and they would/could be a good Match). The only opportunity for becoming a mother came to those who chose to be Matched, so I would definitely take that risk. However, in our world, I would never choose that. As wonderful as two people may seem for each other on paper, there's something exciting about attraction and it's not something you can predict. I think people should have the right to choose who they fall in love with and who they marry. Two people may have the same values and interests but not be attracted to one another. I think matching is good as advice only for people who want it, but in the end every person should be able to make the decision for themselves.Lindy Gomezhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08037195934272974300noreply@blogger.com
